It has been quite some time since I posted up a picture post so here are some random pics I took:

WZ made this egg-potato-onion-herbs combination and cooked it using the sandwich maker (hence the triangular shape) because she wanted to finish the potatoes.Tasted quite nice :) The next time i passed the road the sign wasn’t there already…but if you need ubat kuat lelaki u can always call the number :P

Nice clouds early in the morning (these taken with handphone camera):   They didn’t arrange the food properly like they’re supposed to :( Looks like it was just dumped on the plate. @Pizza Hut Alamanda. Starbucks giving out coffee grounds to be used as fertilizer! Cool! Cinnamon Roll & Caramel Frappucino @ Starbucks, Mines…:D Sat there for approx 6 hours and used KFC’s free WiFi :D

News

Quick updates:

1) Parents will be back on Wednesday! ETA @ LCCT is 9.15pm so I have to be there by 10.30pm and drive back to Ipoh! woohooo! Haven't been home in a month d!

2) I have been hired by TNB (and i'll be bonded for the next 7 years - !!). Along with a huge bunch of ppl for their PEP program, which starts Nov 2 (Or at least, the lapor diri part) . And I have final exams on 3,4 and 5 Nov. Not sure how to settle that yet.

3)It's amazing how much I can save when I'm on a tight budget. I spend less than RM5 per day! (Only spent money on food this past week) Let's see if I lose any weight...

4) Had less than 5 hours of sleep yesterday because I had to finish up my project paper for accounting...padan muka la buat kerja last minute...haha...somehow i can only work under pressure....hmmm....

Now I gotta think what to eat for lunch and dinner....aih...nobody's home today...

A popular motivational speaker was entertaining his audience.

He Said : "The best years of my life were spent in the arms of a woman who wasn't my wife!" The audience was in silence and shock. The speaker added: "And that woman was my mother!"
Laughter and applause.

A week later, a top manager trained by the motivational speaker tried to crack this very effective joke at home. He was a bit foggy after a drink. He said loudly to his wife who was preparing dinner, "The greatest years of my life were spent in the arms of a woman who was not my wife!"

The wife went; "ah!" with shock and rage. Standing there for 20 seconds trying to recall the second half of the joke, the manager finally blurted out "....and I can't remember who she was!"

By the time the manager regained his consciousness, he was on a hospital bed nursing burns from boiling water

Student Apartment Internet Connection

Over the weekend, the equipment used to connect the student apartments to the internet encountered a problem and failed to function properly. In the future, please inform your Resident Councilor or Resident Fellow if you encounter problems with the network or the internet so that they can get in touch with the ITMS staff on standby.

We are sorry for the inconvenience caused due to the failure.

Pada hujung minggu lepas, peralatan yang digunakan untuk menghubungi pangsapuri pelajar dengan internet mengalami masalah dan tidak berfungsi dengan betul. Di masa depan, sila hubungi Residen Counselor ataupun Residen Felo anda jika anda mengalami masalah dengan network ataupun internet supaya mereka dapat menghubungi staf ITMS yang tunggu-sedia.

Kami meminta maaf di atas segala kesulitan yang dialami semasa kerosakan tersebut.

Oh hey, thanks for the info! Maybe you could give us the direct contact number instead of making us go and bug the residen felo? Oh and if it happens on a public holiday who are we gonna call? Ghostbusters?? Cause nobody picked up the phone the last time i called!

Wonder if they know its been happening for a few weekends already. Don't mess with the student's internet connection ok! Was so close to TP-ing ITMS the other day!!

She moved out!

Two weeks ago, the weird housemate moved out!

I awoke on a Tuesday morning to the sight of her stuff packed in those blue plastic bags of hers and neatly stacked on a trolley. Her parents were also here and they helped her to pack, move and clean her room.

I was a little surprised because I didn’t expect her to move out so suddenly, and without warning. But she did do one weird thing on Monday evening - before leaving:

 

Cellophane-tape secured tissue paper lock! (Not available in stores)

When WZ went to ask the accommodation staff, they said that she accused us of stealing her book and RM5. RM5! Why would I steal RM5?? Wanna steal might as well steal more right?? And steal her book? Hello, we’re masters students lah! Anyway 99% of her stuff is in her room, and her books are never outside. Oh and that would explain the ‘lock’ she put in the pics above. It wasn’t the first time she moved apartments tho, because the staff told WZ that she has moved so many times that they’re used to it d. And everyone complains about the same stuff – tissue bits, water everywhere, excessive washing of hands.

We told her nicely to try not to wet the kitchen floor after she washes her hands (which takes around 5 mins – or more! - and a few roundtrips from kitchen sink to room). And because she wears slippers in the apartment, the apartment gets dirty really fast – because her room is filthy with tissue, hair and dirt on the floor! Usually I have to clean the apartment every few days because its so dirty!

I think the reason she moved out is because i used her mop – she doesn’t like people touching or using her things. I only used it because she wet the kitchen floor really bad and the other mop was wet. After she saw that I used the mop (I left it near the kitchen sink for convenience) she kept her mop back with her pail, covered it with a blue plastic bag and then put it with her other stuff near the shoe rack! Wahh super powerful ahh that blue plastic bag can deter ppl from using ur stuff wan! sweat…

I guess she hasn’t found housemates that are usually not around, minds their own business and doesn’t really care about the cleanliness of the apartment. I’ve seen really gross apartments, and maybe she should stay with them…anyway, so relieved I don’t have to worry about tissue bits, water droplets and dirt everywhere anymore :D

Hopefully she didn’t freak out the new housemates…haha

Internet Addict

Hi, my name is Phoebeeee and i'm an internet addict.

I'm typing this post at Starbucks Mines but using KFC's free WiFi. Hehehe...hebat onot? Internet speed is so much faster than Old Town. Came here after having lunch at Old Town South City. Lots of ppl using the wifi there so i came over here. After all, parking here is RM1 per entry, so its affordable :D But Starbucks is not...hahaha...oh man...

I noticed that I tend to get stressed when there's no internet when there should be internet, or if the internet is slow. I am crazy!

Quick update

So it looks like I haven't been updating my blog...even though i have a one week break! Somehow I tend to be more 'rajin' when i'm busy...i'm so weird. Anyway, some updates:

1. Our weird housemate moved out last week! Got lots to say bout that so i'll save that for another post.

2. Didn't go back for raya cause nobody's at home. Parents are still in Europe touring (till Oct 15). I'm so jealoussss!! Didn't even eat rendang or lemang...or kuih raya...sedih..

3. So happy when internet was fast this past week. Unfortunately still can't download torrents :( - will be going to Old Town more often i guess...hahaha

4.Suddenly the other night i wondered what i used to do before there was facebook. Seriously. I spend so much time on fb these days! What was I doing online before there was fb??

5. Convo pics and much more have been uploaded on fb...maybe later i'll put them here...if i rajin :P

6. Sarah, Adeline and I washed our cars yesterday evening...hehe...had to work off the massive lunch we had at Pizza hut :P cars are shiny! :D

Supposed to finish up my assignments and study for 2 upcoming tests...i'm so lazy!!! Wanted to do them slowly over the holidays...but ended up lepaking most of the time :P

Those were the last words I spoke to him…on Wednesday before Techflow started. But I didn’t join them after class finished that day. Suddenly it’s Sunday and he’s missing. And then it’s Monday and he’s gone…

Gary Leon Robert, my favourite Chindian, passed away a month ago due to extreme dehydration after a marathon.

One of the statistics.

It was so sudden…so unbelievable…

Especially on the day I had a job interview…and he would’ve been one of those I would look forward to tell ‘I got a job!!’

I don’t have many close friends, and I considered him a really good friend of mine…we had so much fun working together during Christmas Night 07 & 08…and in Techflow…

We all wonder why this happened, especially to one so loved by all…

But I guess God loved him more and we are blessed to have known him…

I don’t have a brother, but he was like a brother to me…annoying at times but also supportive and full of encouragement…

I miss getting forwarded messages or replies of forwarded messages from him…

I miss the greeting ‘Chindian!!’ followed by a big hug whenever he sees me…

There’s so much more I could say…but words escape me.

 

When he was doing his industrial training, we chatted almost every day….talked about all kinds of things…and we even talked about MJ’s sudden death…

Now all we have of him are memories that we will cherish…until we meet him again in Heaven! :)
