Sudah kembali dari Bali...

Oh yeah! I'm back from 4 days and 3 nights in Bali. We stayed in a hotel near Kuta Beach. It's an old hotel but it was good enough, since all we were gonna do there is sleep. Hahahaha. Anyway here's a summary of the trip:

Day 1:

0500 - Leave Chemor
0830 - Reach KLIA, take shuttle bus to LCCT
0955 - Start lining up to board plane (Airbus 320)
1025 - Depart from KL!
1325 - Land at Ngurah Rai Airport in Denpasar, Bali (3 hour flight!!)
1400 - Reach Hotel Karthi, settle in and have lunch, walk around the area and explore Kuta Beach
1900 - Go to Made's Warung in Seminyak for dinner
2100 - Back to hotel to get rest for a whole day out the next day!

Day 2:

0730 - Wake up, get ready for breakfast
0830 - Leave hotel to go for Barong dance performance
0900 - Watch Barong dance performance
1020 - Leave for batik painting, store selling all kinds of traditional clothing and material, silver jewellry store
1300 - Buffet lunch at Kintamani (Volcano and lake)
1500 - Leave for Ubud for shopping at the main market that sells handicrafts (In bali handicrafts are called kerajinan tangan)
1830 - Reach hotel, go for a walk at the beach and explore the area. Buy McD's for dinner and go back to hotel.

The rest of the night was spent watching TV till bedtime (They were having James Bond marathons on Star Movies [they had Star Movies!!])

Day 3:

0730 - Wake up and get ready for breakfast
0930 - Go to Nusa Dua and explore the hotels there and explore the beach
1030 - Went to see Churches in the area (All their places of worship are located in the same area)
1200 - Have buffet lunch at Bedugul
1500 - Waterfall at GitGit (Quite a long and tiring walk from the main road to the waterfall, had a good exercise :P)
1700 - Disturb monkeys at Alas Kedaton (Where a monkey climbed on me when we were leaving. Do I look like I carry food everywhere??)
1800 - Watch sunset at Tanah Lot
2000 - Reach Hotel

Day 4:
0730 - Get ready for breakfast
1000 - Hang around town for the last time
1145 - Leave hotel to go to airport
1355 - Fly off back to LCCT
1640 - Land at LCCT
1730 - Leave airport and send sis to Shah Alam, have dinner
1915 - Leave Shah Alam and head back home!
2230 - Back home! What a tiring day!

Everything was planned by my mom, from the flight bookings to the hotel reservations to the tour destinations. Everything was done online (ever since she discovered emails and net surfing to get info, she promotes the internet to anyone she can tell!) and it was a fun trip! Besides the travelling about an hour sometimes to the next destination that gives me a headache! Not to mention the blistering heat..:S

While looking up websites that I can link to as references I found Yahoo! Travel and then I decided one day I shall backpack across Europe!! But first I need money to buy an Eurail pass, and then money for food and places to sleep. Hmmm...give me 10 years then. If I earn any money at all....

Pics will be posted next when I'm done resizing them =)

Indulgence at Indulgence

1. indulgence, indulging, pampering, humoring
the act of indulging or gratifying a desire

2. indulgence, lenience, leniency
a disposition to yield to the wishes of someone; "too much indulgence spoils a child"
3. indulgence, self-indulgence
an inability to resist the gratification of whims and desires

We went to Indulgence near ISC Ipoh for my parents 26th Wedding Anniversary last 15th November. It was a nice place, very homely feel to it, with comfy couches and air conditioning and dim lighting. The pics we took there were kinda dark cause we used my sister's cameraphone and we didn't dare use the flash...ahahhaha

My dinner - Patches - Chicken with mashed potatoes under spicy sauce (tastes similar to my mom's cooking of Bengoli Chicken)

Can't remember the name of this brownie :P RM6 I think

So that's all. We spent a bomb there, and then after coming back and reviewing the receipt we found out that they overbilled us! We only ate one cake, not THREE!! Hmm...won't be going there for a loooong time I guess. Not that its necessary ;)

The name's Bond, James Bond

Heheheheh...watched Casino Royale yesterday. It was good. Many thought Daniel Craig wasn't gonna be good at being Bond, but I think he did great! After watching the movie I wanted to learn how to play poker! Hahahaha. Pretty cool! I don't mind watching Casino Royale again. Only this time maybe not in the cinema because my perfectly formed arse can't take more than 2 hours in a cinema! :P

OOohhh....going Bali tomorrow!! Wheeee!!

Buggers!

Irresponsible Malaysians, always thinking of themselves. Went to Tesco with my mom, and after shopping I found 2 trolleys behind our car and one in the empty parking lot next to us. Idiots! The trolley bays are just a few feet away lah! Even if you think the trolley bays are full (barely full) at least but them near the trolley bay mah! Not near our car! Grrr! I pushed all four trolleys (plus the one we used) and put them where they belong. Made quite some noise pushing em, but I don't think anyone gave a rats ass! Gah! Not putting trolleys back in their bays should be considered a felony!

At least I got my stock of cereal tho. The only fun part about goin grocery shopping in places like Tesco or Jusco.

HOpefully I can ask my mom to leave me out of tonight's fruit basket wrapping. A Sister's Fellowship thingy in church. I'm gonna be so left out. Sigh.

Lame joke? I think so...

There was the usual ad supplement in the papers today on DELL computers and laptops. Dad made a joke about him needing two laptops if he ever got any. The reason? One for each leg. =_=" That's my dad for you! hahahaha

Ahh...my dad...quite the entertainer!

The importance of being Earnest

Okok..actually I wanna say the importance of spelling, and I couldn't think of anything smart to put as the title, while using that phrase. (The Importance of Being Earnest is actually a play written by Oscar Wilde) hahaha. Haven't read the play OR watched the movie, but it must be good. Oscar Wilde mah. He's got wit! hehehe. Anyway my point is, spelling is IMPORTANT! It IS! You might think "aiya, one alphabet only wrong ma". but NO! For example 'than' and 'then':

"I wanted to go shopping and than I forgot."

Okay, maybe it's a bad example but you get the point. It annoys me everytime I see errors like that. If you misspell a big word like 'Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious' then its okay lar...(don't worry, googled it and checked with Wikipedia :D) But then again, its not a biggie. It won't cause the end of the world. I only have to re-read the sentences two or three times just to make sure I get the correct meaning.

So.....is spelling that important?

:D

Song is Canto Alla Vita. Cool eh. Old vid tho. At one of his concerts.

February Song

From Josh Groban's new album, Awake

"February Song"

Where has that old friend gone
Lost in a February song
Tell him it won't be long
Til he opens his eyes, opens his eyes
Where is that simple day
Before colors broke into shades
And how did I ever fade
Into this life, into this life

And I never want to let you down
Forgive me if I slip away
When all that I've known is lost and found
I promise you I, I'll come back to you one day

Morning is waking up
And sometimes it's more than just enough
When all that you need to love
Is in front of your eyes
It's in front of your eyes

And I never want to let you down
Forgive me if I slip away
Sometimes it's hard to find the ground
Cause I keep on falling as I try to get away
From this crazy world

And I never want to let you down
Forgive me if I slip away
When all that I've known is lost and found
I promise you I, I'll come back to you one day

Where has that old friend gone
Lost in a February song
Tell him it won't be long
Til he opens his eyes
Opens his eyes

Nice song. Especially the piano part. Hehehhe :P I can't wait to get my hands on the Internet-only version of the album. It has 2 extra songs and a DVD...need to get a fund started and also my dad's kindness. Wahahahhaha. He wouldn't mind I think, just that he'd have to give out his credit card number online...hmmm...unless I make my purhase like the other time...hmmm..

Go Josh!!

Faraway

Beyond A Thousand Miles (Faraway)

Composer: Jay Chou (周杰倫) (周杰伦)
Lyricist: Vincent Fang (方文山) (方文山)

Notes: Featuring Fei Yu Ching (費玉清)

(Jay) The roof is like a cliff
The wind chimes are like the blue sea
I wait for the swallow to return
The time has been arranged
To act out an accident
You quietly leave
The story is outside the city
The heavy fog won't disperse
Can't see the dialogue clearly
You cannot tell by listening
The sound of the wind doesn't exist
It is me who is sighing with regret

I waken from the dream
Who is at the windowsill
Opening the ending?
That future which is as thin as a cicada's wings
Cannot withstand being torn apart by whom

(Fei) I send you away
Beyond a thousand miles
You are silent, black and white
The silent era
Perhaps it shouldn't have been
The too distant love
I send you away
Beyond the end of the sky
Are you still there?
Where is the sound of the piano coming from?
It's hard to predict life and death
I use all my life
To wait

Rap: I hear sounds of tears so I enter the woods
Searching for the white pear flower
I only get a row of moss
The sky is beyond the mountains
The rain falls down on the flower stands
I'm grey at the temples
I hear sounds of tears so I enter the woods
Searching for the white pear flower
I only get a row of moss
The sky is beyond the mountains
The rain falls down on the flower stands
I wait for you to come

(Fei) Glazed white all over you
Transparent like dust
Your flawless love
From the rain you come
The poem becomes sorrowful
I'm drenched now
(Jay) Pick up the lotus from the water surface
It's as if the shadows of the boat sailing are still there
Yet you don't come back
Covered by the years
The flower you spoke of blossomed
The past becomes blank

(Fei) I waken from the dream
Who is at the windowsill
Opening the ending?
(Jay) That future which is as thin as a cicada's wings
Cannot withstand being torn apart by whom

(Fei) I send you away
Beyond a thousand miles
You are silent, black and white
The silent era
Perhaps it shouldn't have been
The too distant love
(Jay) I send you away
Beyond the end of the sky
Are you still there?
Where is the sound of the piano coming from?
It's hard to predict life and death
I use all my life
(Fei) I send you away
Beyond a thousand miles
You are silent, black and white
The silent era
Perhaps it shouldn't have been
The too distant love
(Jay) I send you away
Beyond the end of the sky
Are you still there?
Where is the sound of the piano coming from?
(Fei) It's hard to predict life and death
(Together) I use all my life
To wait

This Will Be

Was watching taxi and they had this song. Hehehe...nice song =)

Natalie Cole---This Will Be (An Everlasting Love)
(Chuck Jackson/Marvin Yancy)

Ooh...ooh...
Oh...oh...
Ooh...oh...oh...yeah
Mmm...mmm...mmm...mmm...

This will be
An everlasting love
This will be
The one Ive waited for
This will be
The first time anyone has loved me, oh...oh...oh...

Im so glad
He found in time
And Im so glad that
He rectified my mind
This will be
An everlasting love for me, whoa, ho

Loving you
Is some kind of wonderful
Because youve shown me
Just how much you care
Youve given me the thrill of a lifetime
And made me believe youve got more thrills to spare, oh

This will be
And everlasting love, oh, yes, it will now

Youve brought a lot of sunshine into my life
Youve filled me with happiness I never knew
You gave me more joy than I ever dreamed of
And no one, no one can take the place of you

This will be, yes, siree, eternally
Huggin and squeezin and kissin and pleasin together forever through
rain or whatever
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, you and me
So long as Im livin true love Ill be givin, to you Ill be servin
cause youre so deservin

Hey, youre so deservin
Youre so deservin, yeah, yeah, yeah
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
The love, the love, the love, the love, the love, the love, love, love,
love, love
The love, the love, the love, the love, the love, the love, love, love
From now on, from now on, from now on, from now on
From now on, from now on, from now on, from now on

quote!

The tragedy of life and of the world is not that men do not know
God; the tragedy is that, knowing Him, they still insist on
going their own way.

CATS: The Original London Version Soundtrack Lyrics
Artist: Lyrics
Song: Memory Lyrics

Daylight
See the dew on the sunflower
And a rose that is fading
Roses whither away
Like the sunflower
I yearn to turn my face to the dawn
I am waiting for the day . . .

Midnight
Not a sound from the pavement
Has the moon lost her memory?
She is smiling alone
In the lamplight
The withered leaves collect at my feet
And the wind begins to moan

Memory
All alone in the moonlight
I can smile at the old days
I was beautiful then
I remember the time I knew what happiness was
Let the memory live again

Every streetlamp
Seems to beat a fatalistic warning
Someone mutters
And the streetlamp gutters
And soon it will be morning

Daylight
I must wait for the sunrise
I must think of a new life
And I musn't give in
When the dawn comes
Tonight will be a memory too
And a new day will begin

Burnt out ends of smoky days
The stale cold smell of morning
The streetlamp dies, another night is over
Another day is dawning

Touch me
It's so easy to leave me
All alone with the memory
Of my days in the sun
If you touch me
You'll understand what happiness is

Look
A new day has begun

another quote

Our life is full of brokenness - broken relationships, broken
promises, broken expectations. How can we live with that
brokenness without becoming bitter and resentful except by
returning again and again to God's faithful presence in our
lives.
