Sitiawan Day 3 (Part 2)

After visiting school, we went to Pizza Hut for lunch (Cik Nur Aini, my sis, my parents, WZ and me) Ordered a whole lot of food, which WZ belanja!! :D Thankz!

Lots of food and picture taking…the camera is really good!! I am continuously amazed at the quality of the pics! hahaha.I’ll let the pictures do the talking now…:) DSC_0592 DSC_0594 DSC_0597 DSC_0598 DSC_0564 DSC_0566 DSC_0571 DSC_0573 DSC_0575 DSC_0577 DSC_0578 DSC_0581 DSC_0582 DSC_0583 DSC_0584 DSC_0585 DSC_0586

Heehee…my parents were supposed to go back but they wanted to meet my sis (which I booked for lunch :P) so they came over…and so we just ate and talked and took pics :P The food looks really good rite?? But I guess the taste was so-so…this place used to be packed but now only a few tables were filled…during lunchtime on a Friday…but anyway, I love the Royal Masala pizza =)

Sitiawan Day 3 (Part 2) - School

SK Convent (1995-1998) Standard 2 to Standard 6 but skipped Standard 4 because I was a PTS student (Moved from Parit Buntar when I was in Standard 2)

SMK Convent (1999-2003)

On Friday afternoon we were supposed to go visit school (which we haven’t done since we took our SPM results because a new headmistress took over and she was kinda scary). Lots of changes have been made…all good, except for the fact that now the field is smaller and trees have been cut down (not the school’s fault tho). Met some of our ex-teachers, most of them remember WZ and I, some confuse me with my sis and some think WZ is someone else (a name combination of 2 ex-students from my sister’s batch!). Most of the senior teachers are still there, and we took pics with some of them. After that we explored the school and took loads of pics!

Here are some pics (the rest can be viewed on Facebook):  DSC_0408

Main gate entrance (now with guardhouse and boom gate!)DSC_0522

Raintree! It’s been there for ages…my fave tree! We used to have lots of activities under its shade :)DSC_0416 DSC_0417 Now with a fountain!DSC_0418 Block housing the form 3 classrooms (doubles as a hall) where upstairs is the computer room, library and bilik gerakan.DSC_0420 Sink beside the classroom! Nowhere else you can find this! (I think!) :)DSC_0427 Super high ceilings!DSC_0433 This block used to be made of wood (and looked really old), now a brick block has been built..and the small longkang in the middle with one big tree has been removed :( there used to be a bench there and also the 3 recycling bins…wonder what happened to the bins)DSC_0434 The science/chemistry lab!DSC_0456 Bulletin board beside the classroom (the other side)DSC_0488 Hey! Some parts got blue roof!DSC_0493

Library got pameran?? Fuh!

DSC_0473 DSC_0476 Got computer (with internet, if I’m not mistaken) and better looking tables with individual booths! Air-conditioning for display only tho because its too expensive to use everyday!

Office is now air-conditioned, and the first classroom behind the office (used to be 1 Daisy) has been converted into a Penolong Kanan office.

Big pedestrian bridge over the main road in Sitiawan. The road is now wider (has been widened a few times) and cost the school its tall raintrees…and the field is now smaller :(

Ahh…those were the days…I miss the simple life then…we used to have so much fun, with all the crazy recess sessions and extended PJ sessions :P The only main worry we had was to make sure the teacher didn’t catch us ‘photostating’ homework! Which is probably the only reason we went to school earlier :P I used to cycle to school, so did lots of us…the bicycle shed was usually packed, but now a surau and a car shade has replaced it…and now there was just a small bicycle shed beside the exit gate…I guess its too dangerous to cycle to school these days anyway.DSC_0413

Enough about school, I guess…time for me to go and reminisce about our schooldays! :)

Sitiawan Day 3 (Part 1) – Random Shots of Sitiawan

Random shots around Sitiawan – pity WZ because she has to stop here n there as I take pics. But sometimes I just take pics when the car is moving :) I felt like a spy or even paparazzi as at some parts I wound down the window and took pics (if the lens was longer I would pass as paparazzi!)

DSC_0406 Big pedestrian bridge in front of school – Jalan Raja OmarDSC_0347 Super big Maybank – got lift inside summore!DSC_0348 EconsaveDSC_0350 DSC_0351 DSC_0352 One of the many bridal boutiquesDSC_0353 Nice cafe upstairs, but dunno about the food…possibly overpriced for Sitiawan standards. Cake was tiny and tasted plain. Nothing special. Not that anyone in Sitiawan bothers?DSC_0354 DSC_0355 The Store, which used to be FajarDSC_0361 At Padang Astaka:DSC_0366 DSC_0367 DSC_0369 DSC_0370 Got nicer playground d!DSC_0371 Covered basketball courtDSC_0373 Suddenly got Bomba helicopter? Take lots of pics! :P I used to jog in this field. Actually many locals did :)DSC_0374 DSC_0375 Wet market! The field in the foreground is where those Hong Leong Charity Runs started and ended. But its mainly a football field.DSC_0376 DSC_0377 DSC_0383 DSC_0384 DSC_0399 DSC_0402 DSC_0403

Biggest and possibly the first computer shop in Sitiawan

That’s all for random shots :)
