milk eggs vodka!

Sorry for the lack of updates for the past few weeks, but I've been out alot and whenever I'm at the computer I'm just busy doing something!

Anyway last Saturday I went to Borders in Times Square and bought a book titled "milk eggs vodka", which is written by Bill Keaggy. I've been looking out for this book ever since I read about it on Reader's Digest, and when I got my hands on the book I was excited! Plus there was a 20% discount so I was very pleased! :P Why I'm so excited? It's cause its a book that's categorized under humor (I don't think I have ever owned a book that's in that category!), and this guy has collected a ton of people's grocery lists and sorted them out and chose those really crazy ones and commented on them, and included interesting facts on the side. It's a book you would want to read when you're bored or want to laugh at people's spelling. Oops....was that mean? hahahaha...but at the end you feel that grocery lists should be safely guarded and not left in shopping carts!

I bought 3 other books, and they're so thick I dunno when I should start reading! (especially since my assignments and work start to pile up.) Gah!

Gotta go do my lab report...

Australiaaaa

So 7 days and lots of rain later, I'm back to blog about the Australia trip!Sorry it took so long, but I always think of what to put on my blog but I'm too lazy to type it out...i should get a "instant blog thought typer" or something like that...:P

There are alot of things about Australia that I learned and experienced. Among the first few things that I learned as soon as I arrived there (I reached there about 7.30pm) are:

1. sitting in the back seat? Strap up!
2. It gets dark by 5pm and there's no nightlife (what?! no way!)
3. Petrol prices are not fixed, so everyday there's a new price, and different stations have different prices.
4. Queensland state is experiencing severe drought. It's been 2 years and the dam levels are around 18% left only! So...no need to bathe!
5. The people are really friendly at counters: they greet you with "Hi, how are you".

And not forgetting what I missed while being abroad for 2 weeks:

1. Our PM getting married (really?? no hint also man!!...or maybe i din read the papers :P)
2. It's been raining alot!

We stayed at my mom's cousin's place in The Gap, Brisbane (The Gap is the suburb, which is almost like a taman but not a taman...) for the first few days we explored Brisbane (we went to the city center, museum, shopping mall..etc), and then we went to Toowoomba where my mom's friend whom she hasn't seen for 30 odd years resides. Australia, or rather Queensland is a really nice place. Their houses are one of a kind and they have loads of space! And then we went back to Brisbane, and then went off to the Gold Coast(one week)! Surfer's Paradise, that is. We rented a car for one week (me n sis couldn't drive cause insurance is more expensive for drivers under 25) and drove to:
1. Australian Outback Spectacular - awesome show! With a 3 course dinner samo! A must go to see life in the outback.
2. Movieworld - Cool place, with all the rides and cute buildings and movie characters and shows!
3. SeaWorld - Oh so many animals and great dolphin shows, fun rides and many more shows!
4. Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary - It rained the day we went there (hasn't rained for a long time if im not mistaken), and all the kangaroos n koalas were wet. It's a really big place, but we saw alot of kangaroos only, I think the other animals were hiding from the rain.

After the Gold Coast, we went back to Brisbane, then the uncle we stayed with drove us to Mount Coot-tha. We got to see a whole lot of Brisbane from up there. The next day we went to the Australia Zoo. Yeah, that place The Crocodile Hunter comes from. After visiting the zoo I really admire their efforts to preserve the animal kingdom, but I still think he shouldn't have bullied animals when he made the tv series. There was a section under the crocoseum that was dedicated to Steve Irwin, displaying the stuff people sent after his death, condolence messages n stuff.

The next day (Sunday) we hung around in Brisbane, explored the area, especially Queen Street Mall. It's basically rows of shops and where i think it used to be a road, its now a road for people! With plants n chairs and info kiosks. I really love their bus service. They're organized and people actually line up over there! Their buses look like our RapidKL buses, but are powered by natural gas! So bye-bye to black smoke and hello to clean air! Oh and their city is so clean! Really! So clean and developed and organized! I would definitely move there if I had the chance. Although things there are a little expensive (branded clothes are super expensive but they have sales of up to 70%!!), I think if you're earning in Australian dollars it shouldn't be too bad. I think most of the items are more expensive now because of the drought. On the last day (Monday 11th June) we went to DFO, which stands for Direct Factory Outlet. It's near the Brisbane Airport and as the name says, is where they have almost all the brands you can think of. And when we went it was the mid season sale so alot of things were on sale, and we just shopped till we dropped! :P

On Monday night it was goodbye Brisbane and we headed home. It was a night flight and I didn't get much sleep (in between they serve snacks n breakfast and I ate em all :P) reached home around 2pm on Tuesday and that was the day I slept at 4pm until 5am the next morning!

It was a really good vacation, and if anyone plans to go to Australia do let me know, cause I absolutely wanna go there again! (To Sydney?)

Will post up pictures later, took more than 1GB of pics and I haven't sorted em out yet!

Toodles!

Got loads of stuff to clear and clothes to wash. After we came back we had to clean the floor (got dead bugs and it was dusty) and then unpack and it was so tiring!! I slept from 4pm to 5am this morning!! Wahlau!!

Will update on Australia soon. Just let me recover from travelling...=)

Banana Java Chip Frappucino!!!

That was my breakfast. Hahaha..A VERY EXPENSIVE breakfast, that is. RM16.80 for venti! Pokai man! But it's all good..=) Went to Ipoh Parade's Novelhut to sell some books. (After sending off my aunt from TI who was here visiting for a few days) Managed to get RM18.00 (dad said we could keep whatever we got and it only managed to cover the drink..sad sad...). But it's all good. Hehehe...after selling the books we did some window shopping. Nothing interesting happened the rest of the day, just coming back home and getting excited about Australia! teehee!

Been listening to 2 songs recently, one Not Ready to Make Nice by the Dixie Chicks and Never Again by Kelly Clarkson. Damn cunted songs wei! hahahaha.

Hmm..so another season of American Idol ended. Not bad I think, considering how I never really followed the show, I learned about Sanjaya, Indian guy who I think with training can sing much better. He's not bad or horrible at singing, but I guess not very expressive with his voice..like he's afraid his voice is gonna run away or something...hahaha..so after watching the season finale I searched faithful Youtube and got a whole bunch of videos of his performances...hehe..see, don't have to follow the show ma..just watch the finale and search YouTube for everything else :P

Anyway gonna listen to more Kelly and Dixie Chicks. And maybe Sheryl Crow (Good is Good) =)

Why i dislike politics

So I read on 2 ppl's blog about the recent parliament kekecohan (see la got paper never read go n read ppl's blog :P) In this article its mentioned that Lim Kit Siang posted the video on his blog and also on YouTube. Which is when I went n sampated around YouTube and searched for "Malaysian Parliament" and wow! So many videos! Some interesting ones:

1. Samy Vellu shouting in Parliament(to do with the tol raise)
2. Two Sexist BN mps- "Batu Gajah MP tiap-tiap bulan pun bocor"

and the best of all

"You tak suka you keluar dari Malaysia!"
Imagine, people representing us shouting that to other leaders. Sad man. Something to do with Malaysia being an Islamic country.

Oh and the comments are funny too. Some don't make sense cause their command of the language is just so bad, but they still know how to come to YouTube. Not bad leh! haha!

At the end of the article its said " The Dewan was adjourned sine dine on Thursday." I think they meant sine die. Wanna use word check first mah! Tsk tsk.

Enjoy!

p.s. Malaysia gonna be 50 years old, but the people are still dumb. How? Vision 2020 can reach ah?

Reading the tabloids is fun!

I've been reading online tabloids for a while. Like during the while i have before the clothes spin dry or the while i have waiting for the floor to dry. It started out when I wanted to read more on Prince William's breakup - here's a link about Tony Blair asking people to leave them alone (sampat i know! :P) and so i searched and there was this one website called hecklerspray, where judging from its name itself you'd know that they share the news with loads of sarcasm, funny phrases and so on. At least they're bluntly honest. hahaha.

A heckler is a person who shouts an uninvited comment, usually disparaging, at a performance or event, or interrupting set-piece speeches, for example at a political meeting. A heckler is almost always regarded as unwelcome by the person with justifiable claim to be the centre of attention. The audience too may find the interruption an unwanted distraction; however they may sometimes find the interjection amusing or apposite.

The one thing that was mentioned in all the Prince William (or any member of the royal family) is that they're "swan-eaters". Hmm...u can just go on for hours reading what they have to say, and i couldn't help laughing at some bits. Just click on all the links on that link above and you'll see why. tee hee!

Anyway the most fun part is reading about how dumb these people are. Famous filthy rich people. Famous filthy rich foreign people. Because Malaysians are usually dumb in big stuff, like politics or wanting to build something so absurdly big and useless its like a white elephant. So these famous filthy rich foreign people are people like Paris Hilton getting so drunk that she pissed in a taxi, Britney Spears getting desperate after divorce and so on. Now that's what I say plain dumb. And a cure is nowhere to be seen!

How Outgoing Am I?

How Outgoing Are You?
The Extroversion Quotient

by Edward Hoffman, PhD
Monster Contributing Writer

Extroversion Score : 55

You’re moderate on extroversion.
In today’s workplace, this puts you in the middle regarding this sought-after trait. Introducing yourself, meeting different people and being part of a team are OK for you; you’re not perceived as shy. While you don’t crave the opportunity to lead meetings or initiate contact with unfamiliar people, you can do it if asked. Your personal network is of average size. Generally, though not always, others can read your emotions and know where you stand. You’ll achieve greatest success in jobs -- such as healthcare, legal work, consumer research and quality control -- that offer a mixture of people-contact and solo activity.

Freeloadin'

And so this is the first weekday back at home. Had to wake up early cause had to follow dad to work, sis had an interview at some dusty computer shop at around 11am and then we were goin to Sitiawan. (Sis had dental appointment at 3pm) While waiting for the interview we had breakfast at the mamak-like shop at the ground floor of dad's workplace (lawyer's office always not on the ground floor ma) and i had 2 teh tarik! 2 wei!! oh my! and of course i had roti telur :P and then while on the way to sitiawan i was feelin a little nauseous n stuff :S but it was bearable. Im blamin it on too much tea :P. And then we reached Sitiawan, then did some errands, and then went to McD's for lunch! (Macam ipoh takde :P) Lucky nobody i know (or nobody who knows me) was working there...if not i'll be famous again...ahhaahha...

Justnow i tried to play Beethoven's piano sonata no 8 "Pathetique". Really nice song, been listening to the recording, and I hope someday I can actually play a decent version of at least one movement (out of three). See...my standard very low wan :P Anyway i kinda sucked, but i don't really follow the timing on the music sheet but i kinda memorise the tempo from the recordings..and i think i suck mainly cause i didn't trim my nails, and there are loads of staccatos...hahahaha

Gotta practice again tomorrow, got 3 months to do that, must achieve something!! Oh ya anyone knows a good violin teacher in Ipoh lemme know k! :)

Later!

Too semangat....

So I was listening to the soundtrack to The Sound of Music while studying Dynamics. As you know, the songs from the movie are superb! And so I semangatly sang along to the music. Like all the songs. With the high and low parts and the vibratos (ok sort of :P). And now I feel like im gonna get a sorethroat. Wahahahahhahaha. Sad sad.

Went for a 3-hour Good Friday service in church today. It was good...really! It refreshed my memory on what Jesus went through from the betrayal until the crucifixion. Hmmmmm....its gonna be Easter on Sunday and then we're gonna celebrateeeee!!!!

Looking at all the equations I pasted on the wall im not sure im gonna use them...probably gonna make my own? :O wahahahhha. Just kidding, don't worry :P Fluids is making me confused, with the Bernoulli equations and where u can and can't use it and the dunno wat crap samo. hahhaha. hmmm..

I think Im gonna watch a movie. Can't take in anymore information :P
