Got a fellow?

My mom's cousin n husband(orang putih!) and brother came down today(from Penang), and they'll be staying till Tuesday and then they're goin to Kota Bharu to stay with another cousin for 2 days...which means I'll be home alone for 2 nights! Mom's on holiday cause its the school holidays...

So after they reached we went for lunch, and so the orang putih uncle asked me "So, have you got a fellow?"..and I was like "erm nope" and he was like "your mom looks forward to being a grandmother" and I was like "...maybe you could help me find one :P" (he is British after all, but I dunno if he knows any British guys my age :P) And then he asked me if my sis had one and the answer was the same. Hahaha...must be disappointed to hear that...and then he proceeded to tell me how he had a gf when he was 15 and so on...and i was like....damnnnnn...ahhahaha

Anyway the point is, I need to get a 'fellow' somehow. Where to find??!! I mean a proper fellow of course :P

Sighhhh

Weird....

My sis came back today so the whole family went out for dinner. We decided to go to a new place my dad saw, a shop at Brewster Lane, aptly named Brewster Lane. They quite alot of interesting set meals, the main dish served with rice, soup, steamed egg, salad and green tea. We ate and chatted as usual. Then my dad left to go and pay the bill, while my mom, sis and me stayed to chat some more. Then I got up, and we prepared to leave. All this time the table next to us were very loud (a bunch of yuppies i think) and laughing and talking in Cantonese (wahahaha..noneed to eavesdrop also, they were talking pretty loud and I think they thought we don't understand or something). So suddenly as we all got up to leave, they all stopped talking and stared at us until we left the place. I wanted to ask them "eh, why stop talking d!" or "Why are you ppl staring" or something like that but I didn't want to waste my energy..hahaha...so we all just left.

Damn weird people..never see Chindian family before ah?!!

Chindians Rock ok!! =P

Work...

...used to be fun. Until boss #2 started to be a pain in the ass. Everyday we have a quality meeting which I have to sit through for about 2 hours. 2 freaking hours!!! And on that plastic chair which makes my butt oh-so-numb!! And not to mention waste my time!

If boss #2 keeps this up I might just scream something mean at his face and then I'll get fired on the spot! Most likely I'll just say "too bad" and then stomp off or something, to be abit dramatic. The place is kinda filled with drama already anyway. Sometimes I feel like i'm going to school again. Suffice to say I dislike him because he's a meanie! everyday during the meeting he'll just go on and on scolding ppl if there's a problem with quality and then it's so depressing even tho he's not scolding you. And because of him the meeting goes on for 2 hours. At one point it was steadily goin on for 1 hour only. These ppl can't stick to their plan!! Arghh!!

Seriously, If I wanted to do what i'm doing now I wouldn't have to bother going to uni. SPM also would be too high a qualification. At the moment the office looks like its still in the 90's, the computers are old, the

Today I went to work with a beh song attitude. I just didn't give a damn anymore. Of course I was nice as usual to the other staff...haha...but during the meeting I just didn't bother to listen to what boss #2 had to say or his really lame jokes which occur when there's tension in the air. Damn potong stim. Dumbass!

Ahh...feel much better after lepas geram here...tee hee

Expired??

I raided the fridge earlier, looking for something to snack on. All I found was a bunch of raw stuff, and some weird stuff (edible, thankfully) my mom keeps that she uses once in a blue moon in her cooking. The closest I came to achieving what I was looking for was a few bars of chocolate, which were bought ages ago (KLIA duty free on the way back from Australia) and also some which were given by friends. Somehow they are all kept in the fridge and then long forgotten, until a day like this were I need something to munch on comes about and then they have expired by now! So I was searching the net for "How safe is it to eat expired chocolates kept in the fridge?" and I found this! hehehe...interesting...

How long will it last?
Posted March 26, 2007

Sure, it sounds like the title of a new hit game show on NBC with Howie Mandel, but it’s not. It’s the game all of us play with our refrigerator.

I never know how long something lasts and I almost always have leftovers. I keep them in the fridge for a good week or two, then I carefully open it up, hoping it doesn’t release a some disgusting odor (which it often does) or even worse, hoping that the disgusting odor juices don’t end up splashing me in the face upon opening it.

So after some investigating (and a little help from AskMen.com) here’s what you need to know.

1. How long do apples last?
You can enjoy weeks and weeks of apple bobbing parties with these hardy fruits; if stored in a cool, dry area (the basement and the fridge drawer are always good picks), apples can last anywhere between 3 to 6 months.

2. Is it better to keep bread out on the counter or in the fridge?
If you want your bread to stay fresh, then keep your loaf on the counter at room temperature; refrigerating bread may halt the growth of mold, but it will dry bread out and cause it to become stale more quickly. If you want to store bread, however, you’re better off sticking it in the freezer.

3. How long do eggs last?
Long enough for a month of omelets. Fresh eggs, in their shell, can last in the fridge for 4 to 5 weeks after purchase.

4. Does hard cheese last longer than soft cheese?
Hell yeah! The “rock” of cheeses, hard cheese lasts for 3 to 4 weeks after being opened, whereas soft cheese lasts for about one week after being opened.

5. How long does an open box of cereal last?
You can look forward to several blissful months of waking up to the Cap’n. Cap’n Crunch, that is; an open box of cereal will remain edible for about 2 to 3 months in a dry room. A humid home, on the other hand, spells a shorter shelf life for your favorite box of cereal.

6. Is milk any good after the expiry date?
This really isn’t something you want to discover for yourself. Milk should definitely be chucked after it has expired. The nutrients and vitamins in milk start to diminish after opening, so besides giving you the stomachache of your life, drinking expired milk won’t really do your body any good.

7. How long do TV dinners last in the freezer?
These convenient marvels of modern living will last in the freezer for about 6 months; check the expiry date on the package just to be sure.

8. How long can you keep cooked burgers on the counter?
Whether it’s been barbecued, baked, fried, or thrown on a hot sidewalk in the middle of a heat wave, cooked meat shouldn’t be left at room temperature for more than 2 hours. After 2 hours, human-unfriendly bacteria starts to grow on the meat, making it an unhealthy, highly unpleasant snack and all-around bad idea to mess with.

9. How long does raw steak last in the freezer?
You’ve got almost a year to eat like a real man. Raw steak will last up to 12 months in the freezer.

10. How long do cold cuts last?
For less time than you think. I once knew a guy who ate lunchmeats dotted with blue spots… he hasn’t been the same since. To avoid drastically altering your fated life path, throw away an open package of cold cuts after 3 to 5 days, and send cold cuts stored in a tightly-sealed container packing after 10 days.

11. Can poultry be put in the freezer after it’s been cooked?

Freeze away. Fried chicken will keep in the freezer for 4 to 6 months, while cooked poultry dishes will last for about 4 months in the freezer.

12. Can I drink a bottle of beer that was left open overnight?
Technically, sure, go ahead. The beer won’t be toxic or anything, but if you could muster up the energy to go over to the fridge and open up a brand new bottle, you’ll save yourself the not-so-fun experience of ingesting flat, raunchy, morning-after alcohol.

13. Does ice cream ever go bad?
It’s hard to believe that something this good could ever go bad; but just like Lex Luthor, ice cream, too, will eventually cross over to the dark side. Although it doesn’t have a set shelf life, this frozen goodness will eventually grow a layer of fuzzy ice droplets that give it a coarse, icy texture and just take all the fun out of eating it. The jury’s still out on when this occurs, but depending on the condition of your freezer, it could be anywhere from 12 days to 12 months.

14. How many days does delivery pizza last?
See all those boxes of half-eaten pizza strewn around your living room floor? Yeah, you might want to think about throwing those out. Delivery pizza in the box will last for about 3 to 4 days in the fridge, but should be terminated faster than Kevin Costner’s career if left at room temperature for over 2 hours.

15. Do Twinkies really last indefinitely?
Sure they do, and the tooth fairy really did leave all those quarters under your pillow. Sorry, Twinkies do not, in fact, defy all the laws of food storage. They have a shelf life of about a month, and this relatively lengthy shelf life is due to the fact that Twinkies contain no dairy products.

16. If the power goes out , how long will food last in the freezer and fridge?
You have several hours before total starvation begins to set in. If the fridge door is kept closed, food will last for about 4 to 6 hours, and will remain edible for about 1 to 2 days in the freezer.

* The ugly truth about mold: Mold is not your friend. Yes, it may be soft and fuzzy, but it is not, by any means, friendly. Mold can cause allergic reactions and sickness. If your food has grown that familiar greenish/grayish/bluish fur, kiss it goodbye. The only moldy foods that can be salvaged are hard cheeses and firm fruits and veggies. In these cases, cut the moldy areas away and enjoy.
* Better safe than sorry: Avoid strange encounters of the food kind. Resist adventurous urges, and throw away any food that looks or smells suspicious. This type of shady food item belongs in the garbage, not in your stomach.
* Expiry date rules can sometimes be bent: “Best before…” is not a hard and fast rule; it is merely a very strong suggestion in regards to when to discard the food in question. And although this date doesn’t necessarily mean you need to throw away said food, if the food looks shady, throw it a big old farewell party.
* Storing temperatures: Take charge of your food storage facilities. Make sure your freezer is set at or below 0°F, and the fridge is set between 34° and 40°F to slow the growth of harmful human-hating bacteria. Once you’ve decided which foods are freezer-worthy, tightly wrap freezer-bound food in a plastic bag, let all the air out of the bag and tie it to avoid freezer burn. If it’s not the fridge or freezer, make sure your storage location is cool and dry.

Lesson of the day: Don't keep food too long! Eat em while you can! =D

I love you

im begging please stop playing games

i dont know what this is
cos you got me good
just like you knew you would

i dont know what you do
but you do it well
I’m under your spell

Chorus
You got me begging you for mercy
why wont you relase me
you got me begging you for mercy
why wont you release me
I said release me

Now you think that i
will be something on the side
but you got to understand
that i need a man
who can take my hand yes i do

i dont know what this is
but you got me good
just like you knew you would

i dont know what you do
but you do it well
I’m under your spell

You got me begging you for mercy

you got me begging you for mercy

10 funny flirting facts
By Laura Schaefer

So you’ve mastered the eye-contact game and can beckon a cute prospect with a few coy glances… but do you really know all there is to know about the fine art of come-hither? Just to make sure you’re up to speed, we culled some very surprising info that you can use to your advantage. Read on for some juicy tidbits that may up your cute quotient in no time.

1. Flirting is good for you. Studies show that people who flirt have higher white blood-cell counts, which boost their immunity and keep them healthy.

2. Think it ends at a little eye batting? Hardly—all told, scientists say there are 52 “flirting signals” used by humans. Of these, the hair flip is the most common.

3. In some places, flirting is illegal. In Little Rock, AR, an antiquated law is still on the books warning that engaging in playful banter may result in a 30-day jail term. In New York City, another outdated law mandates that men may be fined $25 for gazing lasciviously at a female; a second conviction stipulates the offender wear a pair of blinders whenever he goes out for a walk.

4. Why wait for Happy Hour? Lots of people get their flirt on during their morning commute. A full 62 percent of drivers have flirted with someone in a different vehicle while on the go, and 31 percent of those flirtations, it turns out, resulted in a date.

5. Flirting need not occur face to face. According to Pew Research, 40 percent of people who look for love online say they can easily flirt with someone via email or IM.

6. In the Victorian era, fans were the ultimate playful prop that could communicate all sorts of messages. A fan placed near the heart meant, You have won my love. A half-opened fan pressed to the lips suggested, You may kiss me. Hiding the eyes behind an open fan meant, I love you, while opening and closing the fan several times warned, You are cruel. Given how much a fan could come in handy, it’s a shame they ever invented air conditioning.

7. These days, cell phones do the flirting. In one survey, half of all mobile phone users have texted suggestive messages to keep things interesting while away from their amour.

8. Watch out, you can overdo it. According to the Social Issues Research Centre, the most common mistake people make when flirting is maintaining too much eye contact.

9. Sometimes, flirty gestures aren’t what they seem. Research has shown that men tend to routinely mistake friendly behavior for flirting.

10. Flirting is universal. A woman living in New York City and one in rural Cambodia may not have much in common, but when it comes to attracting a little attention, they both employ the very same move: smiling, arching their eyebrows, then averting their gaze and giggling. Animals flirt, too: Birds, reptiles, and even fish have their own way of strutting their stuff. Moral of the story: If the simple sea bass can act cute to enhance a romantic agenda, you can, too—so give it a go!
