Earth Hour
Issit really gonna help the environment?
I don't think so.
All they're doing is just symbolism.
Hope it doesn't affect the power plants because the demand will suddenly drop...but then again maybe most people won't be participating, so the power plants should be fine.
Hmmm....
You know what would save alot of energy?
People staying indoors after its dark, so we wouldn't have to spend so much on lighting up the area and so on.
Arghhhh!! I don't want to study econs anymoreeeeee

Keep Praying!
Keep Praying!
"Continue to ask, and God will give to you. Continue to
search, and you will find. Continue to knock, and the door
will open for you. Yes, if a person continues asking, that
person will receive. If a person continues looking, that
person will find. And if a person continues knocking, the
door will open for that person."
-- Matthew 7:7-8 (ERV)
KEY THOUGHT:
Ask, look, knock. These actions sound so harmless and so easy. But
behind these words is the intent of Jesus: "Be persistent! Keep asking!
Continue looking! Don't quit knocking!" This is not a cookbook
prescription, but the target attitude we should have in our prayers and
our lives. We must be persistent and faithful. But before making that
persistence our key to acquiring and achieving for ourselves, let's
remember Jesus' example in the model prayer in Matthew 6:9-13: the
focus is on God's will -- his Kingdom and his glory, on our most basic
needs -- daily bread, and on overcoming sin through forgiveness and
deliverance. Jesus is reminding us that if we stay after these, not
only will we get what we ask for, but we will also be changed in the
process!
TODAY'S PRAYER:
Holy and righteous Father, thank you so much for the many prayers you
have answered. Thank you, dear Father, for answering my prayers to be
more like Jesus. I confess I am still so very far from his perfection,
but when I look at the distance you have brought me in the past, I can
view the future only with excitement knowing that you will lead me on
to become more like him in the future. In Jesus' name, I thank you and
ask for your continued grace. Amen.

How to wash dry cleanable clothes
More from Martha Stewart
If seeing the phrase "Dry Clean" on new garments makes you cringe -- either because of the toxic chemicals most cleaners use, or the prices they charge -- there's hope. Many delicate items labeled this way can safely be washed by hand at home using a gentle detergent. Follow these steps to make your clothes clean and green.

Decode the Care Labels
If a garment can be washed or dry cleaned, manufacturers need only list one method. To prevent mishaps, they'll usually print "Dry Clean." These items can typically be hand washed. "Dry Clean Only," however, means exactly that.
Note the Fabric and Detailing
Simple, solid-color cotton, wool, linen, rayon, and "washable silk" items can generally tolerate hand washing. Let the pros handle anything with bright prints or colors that may bleed, clothing made of traditional silk, or anything with delicate stitching or beading.
Wash Carefully
Fill a clean sink or washbasin with lukewarm water, then add a few drops of detergent, preferably one made for delicates. Add the garment and swish for three to five minutes. Avoid excess agitation, which causes shrinkage. Rinse the item in fresh water, then gently squeeze out the excess water. Do not wring it out, as this can damage the fabric.
Dry Right
Place the item flat on a clean bath towel and reshape. Roll the towel up, pressing the remaining moisture out of the garment as you go. Unroll, transfer to a fresh towel, and repeat. Unroll, and lay the item flat on a drying rack or another clean towel to air dry, flipping it halfway through.

Do not worry!
This First!
"Don't worry and say, 'What will we eat?' or 'What will we
drink?' or 'What will we wear?' All the people that don't
know God try to get these things. Don't worry, because your
Father in heaven knows that you need these things. The thing
you should want most is God's kingdom and doing the good
things God wants you to do. Then all these other things you
need will be given to you."
-- Matthew 6:31-33 (ERV)
KEY THOUGHT:
What's most important to you? Why is it important? Jesus emphasizes all
throughout his ministry that three things are of supreme importance:
loving God with all our heart, loving our neighbor, and seeking after
God's Kingdom. If we do those things, everything else will fall into
place; the hand of the Creator will be there helping each thing find
its proper place. He knows what we need. He has a plan for our lives.
He will meet our needs. Does this mean things will be easy or always go
well for us? No. If our hero was crucified on a cross, do you think
we're less vulnerable? But God does assure his Kingdom seekers that we
will ultimately get what we seek; we will share with the King in his
Kingdom in all of his glory. In addition, in seeking after Kingdom
values, we will bless those we love, we will have a redemptive
influence on those around us, and we will have all that we really need
in life.
TODAY'S PRAYER:
O gracious Father, help me keep my eyes focused on your Kingdom, my
heart centered on you, my mind illuminated by your Word, and my spirit
empowered and cleansed by your Spirit. Father, please forgive me when I
am distracted by things that don't really matter. Use your Word, your
Spirit, and your people to help call me back to a proper set of
priorities. Please bless me as I make your Kingdom and your
righteousness my consuming passion. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.

10 Jobs for Quiet Workers
10 Jobs for Quiet Workers

You can't help it -- you like your alone time. If you had it your way, you'd be at home most of the time, alone with your thoughts, your computer and your DVR. The time spent actually talking to anyone but your cats would be minimal.
Unfortunately, the real world exists -- one in which working from home is sometimes an option, but more than likely, you have to go to work.
If talking, socializing and general forms of human interaction aren't your thing, you probably loathe the idea of working in a cube where the chatter never stops, or in an office where your primary duty involves using your voice.
If you'd rather hone your quiet skills than your voice box, here are 10 jobs that let you work how you do best: alone.
1. Automotive service technician
Why it's quiet: Automotive service technicians have an intimate relationship with one thing: cars. Aside from a short conversation with clients on "what seems to be the problem," service technicians spend most of their time under the hood of the vehicle.
Salary*: $37,622/year
2. Cost estimator
Why it's quiet: Cost estimators keep to themselves as they analyze everything from blueprints to proposals to determine the cost of a potential project from start to finish. They do their best to nail down costs on things like materials, labor, location and duration of the project to determine if business owners or managers should make a bid for a contract.
Salary: $53,413/year
3. Interior designer
Why it's quiet: Though interior designers need to initially meet with their clients to determine their wants, needs and budget constraints, most of their time is spent alone as they focus on decorating. They choose styles and color palettes; and pick furniture, artwork and lighting. Many interior designers work as consultants or are self-employed.
Salary: $45,524/year
4. Librarian
Why it's quiet: It might seem obvious, but given that librarians work in a mostly "no talking zone," it makes sense that a librarian position suits quiet workers. Most of your time is spent organizing and maintaining library publications and materials, and the rest you'll spend directing people to whatever they may need.
Salary: $48,025/year
5. Medical transcriptionist
Why it's quiet: These guys don't talk; they listen. Medical transcriptionists copy recordings made by physicians or other health-care professionals into medical reports, correspondence or other materials. They usually listen to recordings on a headset and use a foot pedal to pause the recording when necessary. Many medical transcriptionists telecommute from home-based offices.
Salary: $31,251/year
6. Network systems analyst
Why it's quiet: Network systems analysts don't consult much else except their computers as they design, test and evaluate computer systems like local area networks, wide area networks, the Internet and intranets. As networks expand, telecommuting is common for computer professionals because more work can be done from remote locations.
Salary: $40,827/year
7. Survey researcher
Why it's quiet: The primary role of survey researchers is to find out what people think. Rather than interviewing people face to face, they design and conduct surveys via the Internet, mailed questionnaires or telephone interviews. Typically, they work alone writing reports, preparing charts and sifting through survey results.
Salary: $27,478/year
8. Translator
Why it's quiet: Translators read written materials and translate them from one language into another. Because this position requires so much reading, writing, editing and analyzing, translators usually work alone. Many translators work from home and 22 percent of interpreters and translators are self-employed, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
Salary: $42,229/year
9. Undertaker
Why it's quiet: With all due respect, your closest company in this profession is dead. Other than communicating with the family of the deceased to direct the funeral, you are pretty much guaranteed silence most of the time you work.
Salary: $42,278/year
10. Writers, authors and technical writers
Why it's quiet: In the movies, we always see writers escaping to their beach houses, lodges in the mountains or sometimes a haunted hotel -- remember "The Shining"? -- for one purpose: to write a novel. It's not just a stereotype that writers and authors need peace and quiet to work (trust me, I know).
Technical writers are particularly quiet and concentrated, as they focus on putting industrial and scientific information into layman's terms. Remember that simple five-step instruction manual to put together your dresser? A technical writer made those directives as basic as possible, which was probably not an easy task in itself, but was made easier by solitude.
Salary: $42,786/year and $55,707/year, respectively
*National average salary according to CBSalary.com

C'est mon anniversaire!
I am now 22! I feel old! I need more calcium!!
Anyway on that day I woke up to text messages from alot of people (also had some who msged after midnight which I read before I slept). So many msges! And also lots of people who wrote on my Facebook wall (Friendster is not the 'in thing' anymore! I did get one message on Friendster tho). Replied everyone's msges and facebook msges all day! Wah!
Went for class and Harish gave me this:

Wait, is it Christmas??

Ta-daa! It's a scientific calculator!! :D Thanks Harish! :D (Mine died early this semester and I have been using WZ's old calculator...)
That night at Techflow they surprised me with 3 chocolate balls from Baker's Cottage! Don't ask me why, but it was kinda funny tho...haha...
On Friday night, Nina, Sarah, Edwin n I went to T.G.I.Friday's for a little dinner celebration. Left at 7pm and reached Sunway Pyramid at almost 9pm (including a short stop at Agnes' bro's place to get her car back)!

The cake they bought for me! Raspberry Cheesecake from Secret Recipe!! This year the message is "Go Crazy!". What's that supposed to mean? Hmmm...go figure!

Vanilla milkshake! So thick and ice-creamy :D

Grilled Chicken Fillet with Jack Daniel's Sauce (or something like that).
The tomato quarters were grilled perfectly and the mashed potato was heavenly!! Must try to make that kind of mashed potato! Chicken was kinda dry tho. But the sauce was good! We talked and laughed so hard we felt like throwing up! The weird part was how excited the waiters were to take our places! Even when we haven't finished eating they wanted to grab our plates! Had to hold on tight so that they wouldn't take our plates away! Later on the waiters sang Happy Birthday with the 3 of them and then asked me to give a speech. But anyway I din say much..haha..cause...I don't say much, remember...haha!
After that, we adjourned to McDonald's in SS15 (I think? dunno much bout Subang) because Edwin was supposed to belanja Agnes a McFlurry for her birthday which was 2 weeks ago. Lepak there and talk crap until about 1.30am (If I remember correctly), then sent Edwin back home and then we headed back to uni.
I also posted a wishlist on my Facebook Birthday Calendar(because Fb BC asked me to! :P)

I got a scientific calculator and lots of cake! Awesome rite!! :D
In conclusion, Facebook is awesome, I love my awesome friends and wishes do come true! :D
Oh yeah I celebrate my birthday for 15 days too so feel free to give me presents or belanja me makan :P

How to make Garlic Bread
Taken from StartCooking.com. Try it! :D
==============================================================
Garlic bread can be served as a wonderful accompaniment to pasta dishes, salads, soups — or even served as a snack food all by itself. It’s filling, tasty and soul-satisfying!
To be done properly, garlic bread should have nice crispy edges, and a warm, soft, buttery center. It’s that combination of textures that makes it special.
Ingredients Needed To Make Garlic Bread
Pre-heat your oven to 350 degrees
Put one stick of softened butter in a medium size bowl.
Crush one clove of garlic and add it to the butter.
Then add ¼ teaspoon of salt, 1/8 teaspoon of black pepper, ½ teaspoon of oregano and some parsley.
Mix this all together.
Now, using a sharp bread knife we are going to slice this loaf of Italian bread, making each slice about 1 inch wide. Slice the bread almost completely through.
Using an ordinary kitchen knife spread the butter between each slice, and on top of it.
Wrap the bread in the tin foil. Put the bread on a baking sheet with sides. (This will make it much easier to lift the hot bread out of the oven after it is cooked.)
Bake it on the baking sheet in your preheated oven for about 20 minutes.
Enjoy!
Garlic Bread Ingredients:
(4-6 Servings)
- 1 loaf of Italian/French bread
- 1 stick butter (8 tablespoons)
- 1 clove of garlic
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
- 1/8 teaspoon of black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon of oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon of dried parsley
